Another Safari builder,Pete from Maine, noticed that I had been having some trouble in getting the ballast weight to slide into the front skid mounting bracket. The bracket was fabricated without enough clearance to allow the weight to be inserted or removed without binding. Pete suggested that I try a Tailpipe Expander. I called the local Schucks auto parts store and they happen to rent them for $6.00 a day. In less than 5 minutes, I had the weight sliding in and out of the mount with no binding at all. The best six bucks I ever spent. Thank you Pete.
