Brief Description: 1: Engine Controls and Cable Doubler
An awesome day out here in the desert today for building aeroplanes. A lot of rain yesterday brought some relief from the heat, and the temperature today stayed under 30C all day, so I made the most of it.
First up I set about finishing off the jobs that I started yesterday. I fitted my new centre tunnel cover plate, and ran in the engine control cables. I'm going with a fixed pitch propellor, so I just have throttle, mixture and alternate air controls to worry about.
Next up I rivetted my cable clamp doubler plate to the inside of the firewall (second picture below), then on the front side I fitted a couple cushion clamps to the main power cables.

Another doubler plate rivetted to the inside of the firewall
With the doubler plate installed, I could then clamp the main power cables
