Next up today I installed a couple small LED lights into the wing to illuminate the aileron bellcrank. The idea here is that I will press a button in the cockpit prior to my pre-flight walk-around. The button will trigger a timer which will turn the lights on for 10 minutes. During my walk-around I will be able to kneel under the wing and view the illuminated aileron bellcranks through a perspex window that I'm going to install into the access cover.
That's the idea anyway.
I made up a small angle piece to mount the two LED's, and riveted this across the large lightening hole in one of the wing ribs. I also installed a nutplate so that I could screw down a wiring clamp (see first picture).
Finally I fitted the wires off into a molex plug/socket, and ran them back to the wing root with the other wiring.

Testing to see that they work
This will make pre-flight inspections of the bellcrank very easy
