Brief Description: Installed platenuts and fabricated tie down bracke
Riveted all the platenuts to the main spar including the twelve (12) inspection access plate attachments. I came up one short on the access cover platenuts so the final nut will have to wait on my next Van's order. I also need some additional snap bushings for the 1/4" aluminum line used for the pitot and right fuel tank vent lines. My original kit hardware was either a little short or I over used snap bushings in routing the lines. I inserted a snap bushing into each rib that an aluminum line passes through. Oh, I also installed the two platenuts on the root end of the spar web.
After the platenuts, it was on to fabricating the tie-down bracket. All the parts have been cut, match drilled and deburred. Once primed, the assembly will be riveted together and installed on the spar. It will then be tapped for the tie-down ring.
