Brief Description: Joint splice strip and access plate fasteners
First item on the agenda this morning was to finish the joint splice strip by installing the platenuts (the strip was primed last night and left to dry overnight). I then moved on to the bottom skins and the inspection access points. The platenuts were match drilled to the skin, the skin holes dimpled, and the the platenuts dimpled in preparation for riveting. I decided to prime the area on the inside of the skin where the steel platenuts attach to protect against galvanic corrosion. After the primer dried, I riveted the platenuts. Looks nice.
