After the platenuts were attached where the inspection plates will eventually be installed, I moved on to preparing the outboard bottom skin for rivieting. Holes had to be deburred, plastic removed, and all the rivet holes had to be dimpled. I put a very slight bend in the overlapping edge of the bottom skin to prevent any gaps that might occur when it is riveted to the inboard skin. I still need to dress the edges of the skins and put a small radius on the corners. I got the plastic removed on the inboard bottom skin but still need to deburr and dimple. Also, I haven't yet scarfed the edges of the skins where they overlap. I plan to accomplish this task in the final assembly and fitting just before riveting. I don't expect to get the scarf joint perfect on the first try so the skins will probably be on and off the skeleton at least a couple times.
