I began experimenting a bit today with some fiberglass materials recently acquired. I am not really sure how to finish out the fiberglass tips that will be attached to the horizontal and vertical stabs and the elevators so I began by just doing some simple layups of resin and cloth to reinforce the foam plugs that were previously fabricated for the tips. On one of the horiz stab tips layered glass cloth on both surfaces of the foam. On the second tip I just reinforced the inside surface.
I have a product called SuperFill that is somewhat like "Bondo" for airplanes. I may try to fill the end of the tips with this material and see if it can be sanded to create a smooth one piece look.
