Brief Description:  Finishing of fiberglass tips

Continued fitting various fiberglass parts to the empennage. One of the areas presenting a challenge are the extreme aft end of layups. The trailing edges are so narrow that opposing rivets tend to interfere with each other. After some thought I decided that it might be possible to shorten some of the blind rivets called out in the plans.

Turns out it is fairly easy. I began by removing the mandrel. Then using a Dremel I cut the rivet to a shorter length and reinstalled the mandrel. The result was rivets short enough to avoid hitting the opposing side rivet. This allows the rivet to be set cleanly and easily.
