Ok, I had a large high test coffee from the Warehouse 4 Coffee Shop before tackling the "Big Cut" on the canopy. That's the long transverse cut that separates the windscreen from the sliding bubble. Needless to say, with the caffeine and tension my hand was less than steady. So, a little Jameson to steady up, make the cut, and then a double to celebrate. Probably don't need to be in the shop anymore today!
By the way, now that the big cut is complete, the other builders are correct. The actual doing wasn't as bad as the anticipation. Of course, I still have to do the match drilling and fitting of the skirt. Much can still go wrong. Lord don't let me screw the pooch on the canopy!
