Brief Description:  Added heat vent, control cable, and placard

Seen below is the interior panel that forms the inboard wall of the forward baggage compartment on the starboard side of the fuselage. It mopunts next to the pilots right leg forward of the gear towers. I made the mistake of painting this panel last summer before cutting the hole for the cabin heat vent and drilling the hole for the control cable.

Unfortunately, my eyeball vent required a 2-3/4" mounting hole and there was no way to make the cut in the drill press with my trusty fly-cutter. So it was back to Lowes to purchase a Lennox 2-2/3" bi-metal hole saw (just like the smaller one purchased yesterday to cut the firewall). Already had the arbor from the earlier purchase so this trip only cost $14.

After the cuts I added the control cable placard indicating "Cabin Heat Pull On". I now have to spray a little clearcoat on the panel to seal the rub-on letters but will have to wait for a warmer day. It's May here in Ohio but we can't seem to get a dry day or out of the 50s.

Anyway, assuming the clear goes on ok it looks like the panel won't have to be repainted.
