Today I concentrated on getting the various jacks installed for the front cockpit. Jacks for headphones, microphones, ANR +12V power outlet, and auxiliary input for music/entertainment. Most of these connections required solder joints with heat shrink insulator protection. This task was a little tedious, especially when dealing with the miniature jacks (1/8" stereo).
Other work completed included adding circuits for the LED warning lights for landing lights and boost pump on. I also worked out the circuit diagram for mounting a remote starter switch on the stick grip. The remote start circuit utilizes a 30A relay to bridge the Batt & Start poles on the std keyed panel mounted starter/magneto switch. I will have a toggle switch on the lower right instrument panel that will enable a switch on the Infinity stick grip for the start function. Once the engine is started the panel switch will disable the stick switch. This will allow the pilot to keep the right hand on the stick and left hand on the throttle quadrant.
