Brief Description:  Finished masking mid fuselage and painting

Finally got back in the shop today to finish masking the mid fuselage interior. Once the masking was complete I applied the color coat from wing spar box back to the bulkhead just forward of the baggage compartment. Getting the paint applied evenly, smoothly, and in all the nooks and crannies was a challenge. Also, the dark olive drab paint against the olive drab primer makes for difficult painting. In restrospect, the primer should have been a light color to contrast with the color coat. Old eyes are not optimum for painting especially when lighting is not great. Anyway, the initial coat looks decent. I plan to do just a little touch up before moving on to the forward section of the fuselage.

I also prepared the two seat backs for primer and paint. Probably should have done this step before assembly but the preparation wasn't too difficult. After the components were washed, dried, and wiped down with acetone, they were primed and set aside to dry.
