I painted some small pieces of aluminum with my khaki and green colors today and wrote a letter to a couple vendors specializing in RV interiors. In the letters I explained my design ideas for the plane (a 1942-43 retro look) and asked for the vendors ideas and some samples of the materials suggested. The letters will go in the mail tomorrow when the paint chips are dry.
Hopefully, one of the vendors will be able to match my colors and suggest a simple design that will match my concept. They will probably be surprised by the color choice. I don't think I have ever seen an RV-8 with other than a gray or beige interior.
