Brief Description: Continued riveting tailcone skins
Without a helper in the shoip today I focused on getting the keeper rivets and final rivets set that attach the aft side skins to the upper longeron. Most of the final rivets were in the extreme aft of the fuselage (last 2-3 bulkheads). Most of these rivets could be squeezed. Only a few required bucking.
I also prepared the final rivets that attach the mid-cabin bottom skins to the aft edge of the wing spar box. This required removing the lock nuts from a couple bolts that will interfere with bucking two of the rivets in this area. Once the rivets are set the two bolts can be final torqued.
Connie will be back in the shop tomorrow so we should be able to make good progress on the tailcone and some of the tough rivets I have so far postponed.
