Brief Description:  Riveting the seat rib skeleton

I got the seat rib skeleton riveted today and the bottom skins almost ready to rivet in place. The shop instructions could be clearer at times. For example, the book says not to drill/dimple the holes on the extreme forward and aft edges of the bottom skins. However, it doesn't say whether those holes will be dimpled or countersunk later. If dimpled, I am not sure how that might be done since one row of holes is far enough from the skin edge that the squeezer won't reach.

To ease my mind, I read at least half of the fuselage instructions before finding a later reference to the bottom skins and the holes in question. They will, in fact, have to be dimpled later after match drilling with another skin and the flanges on the center section (main spar box). Oh well, there must be a way to accomplish the dimpling. Maybe I will be able to use the DRDT dimpling tool with some help from Connie.

Today while I was searching the manual for the answer to my dimpling question, I had one of those "what the hell was I thinking" moments regarding my decision to build an aircraft in my garage. This thought generally occurs when ordering the next sub-kit ($,$$$) or when some particularly difficult or confusing task presents itself. Maybe a little Navy Rum will help?
