Brief Description:  Cabin Heater Shroud

I've spent all day trying to get the shroud to fit. I discovered the stainless steel clamps have not been well formed, the "C" section is too wide making the outer circumference too large. I have manipulated the clamps using pliers to try to reduce the size. The muffler has a weld along its length that is generally flat except where the clamps sit. I can't do anything about the weld so I've filed clearance in the clamps and that seems to work well. The problem with that is the clamps can now fit only in one position so I will need to ensure I rivet the shroud in the correct place on the clamps re the inlet & outlet positions. The shroud has a fold on one end to form a baffle, that fold is not square to the edges of the sheet & that does not help with the minimal overlap I have, the clamps still need to be fully closed to provide at least a 10mm overlap. I've produced an extension to that internal baffle that should help with the efficiency of the heater by reducing the amount of airflow from the inlet direct to the outlet without travelling all the way around the shroud. Finally I rolled the hexagonal plates that attach the inlet & outlet tubes plus one blanking plate for an unused hole. I'll aim for a trial fit tomorrow in the hope all is well & if so, will deburr & alodine the pieces prior to assembly.
