Brief Description: Rear Fuselage
|
|
Today I finally started working on the fuselage by commencing deburring ribs 6, 7, 8 & 9 plus their associated bits 'n pieces. I'm going to build the rear fuselage first, up to the "boat" stage. My kit is now 2 years old & I have many parts that have, in later kits, been improved or modified for a better fit. I'm finding already that a few parts will need minor modification such as opening a 3.2mm hole to match the 4mm hole in the mating part. No big deal really. I'm going to attempt to have as many modifications identified & complete before I start assembly, particularly in the tailwheel mount area. In the assembly below, there are 44 rivets that are substituted for 4mm rivnuts, I need to plot which holes they are, get them opened up & deburred, rib flanges adjusted, etc. before alodining. GAM, I think you've milked the motorcycle accident thing as much as is humanly possible, it's time you got back down here & enjoyed some deburring!
