Brief Description: New Control Sticks & Torque Tubes
Since my last blog I've been very busy with preparing the garden for Spring & carrying out the annual inspection of my factory built taildragger. This year required the rubber parts exchange as required every 5 years by Rotax & Sling, what a task! The airframe hoses were the easy ones to exchange, the 912ULS hoses & carburettor parts took many, many more hours to exchange. I'm glad that's over and a test flight confirmed all is normal.
Earlier this week, the replacement aileron control torque tubes arrived from the factory and I was pleasantly surprised to find new sticks attached as well! A new design since my originals were made has eliminated the problem I had. I spent today removing the old parts & installing the new. Lots of careful removing of rivets and of course reinstallation and now I have equal aileron throw of the sticks I can return to the windscreen bow modifications.
