Brief Description:  Engine Cowls

The old cowls require using the old method of retaining the oil cooler & coolant radiator. The method described in the KAI for installing the mounting screws has the nuts fixed & the screws free for adjusting the tension, PGC reversed this & that makes sense to me so I will copy him but instead of using lock nuts to hold the screws in place, I have decided to make threaded plates that will hopefully do the same job and also allow the load to be more widely distributed over the mounting plates. Today I made the threaded plates and drilled the bottom cowl for the rivets. I'll use J-B Weld to help hold the screws in place and also as a bed for the mounting plates that do not conform perfectly to the cowl shape.
