I spent a few hours today doing battle with another "push on" fitting (should be push on fighting!), this is for the hose that goes from the thermostat to the oil pump. I've installed a shield to protect it as much as possible from the adjacent exhaust pipe. I need to make a bracket to secure it to the side of the gearbox so have left crimping the final Oetiker clamp till later and have the hose temporarily held with a zip tie.
