I started preparing the heater shroud today. My engine has a later version of muffler from when my kit was produced. The supplied heater shroud needs to be reduced in width from 115mm to 105mm to match the muffler. After "un-rolling" the shroud, I trimmed 5mm from each side using the 3 in 1 shear/brake/roller tool and was able to use the offcuts as drilling guides for the holes along each edge. After drilling & deburring the required holes I re-rolled the shroud to suit the clamp size. It appears the clamps need to be fully closed to allow an overlap of the shroud for riveting. I'm not sure that is correct so I'll need to check their fit on the muffler tomorrow, hopefully I'll see an obvious solution.
