I continued to install some upholstery items today. The main spar carry through has fabric covers on its forward & upper surfaces. The factory installs the upper covers using contact cement. Although some contact cements claim to be non-corrosive, Cessna has an AD to check for corrosion in the spars of certain aircraft as they found after some years the adhesive used in a similar fashion has caused corrosion. I chose to use self adhesive heavy duty Velcro hook & loop tape.
