When first flying the factory built taildragger, I had a problem in not being able to apply rudder input without also applying wheel braking, this was due to the angle that the pedals are set to, it made for some interesting take-offs & landings! The fix for my inflexible ankles was to install extensions in the form of some 31mm diameter tubing screwed to the pedals below the brake pedal pivot point giving a positive delineation between rudder & brake control. I sourced some stainless steel tubing of the desired dimension & today did the required work to install them using 4mm rivnuts, 4 x 20mm stainless screws, split lock-washers & some Loctite 242 threadlocker. I took a little extra time & polished the pedals for some bling.
