GAM drove down in his car today, good choice as the weather turned for the worse & heavy rain is falling for his drive home, he's happy he's not on the bike. We got quite a bit done today but not as much as we thought we would. We followed the build manual to the letter but we found that painted us into a corner to a certain extent. The seat belt attach brackets block access to two rivets (you can see them behind the bolt in photo 3), this slowed us down for some time finding a remedy. I decided to nominate the right hand mount for the remote compass position as it is on the opposite side of the centre console to the aileron auto-pilot servo position. We used non magnetic stainless steel rivets to fasten the mount in the hope of reducing magnetic disturbances around the unit.
All this takes time
