I had to remake the second longest rib for the vertical stabilizer (T10-02), as the original was about a 1/16" too short and it was throwing off the geometry of the stabilizer and causing some holes to be too close to a metal edge (minimum 1/4" required for structural soundness). Pic 1 shows the new rib, wich according to the template in the plans is just about perfectly sized.
I also deburred and pilot drilled my *third* attempt at the rudder horn (pic 2). The odd asymmetric shape foiled my bending attempts twice before. My buddy David Schieman is also building a Sonex, and made some practice pieces to get the technique correct. He thinks he's solved the problem, so I'm going to go over there tomorrow and we'll try the bending again. If nothing else, I really know how to fluff & buff a rudder horn now!
