Brief Description: Glareshield Fitting to Fuselage
I worked on fitting the glareshield to the fuselage. The big problem is that fit in the left side gap between the longeron and the motor mount bracket is extremely tight -- enough so that I could not get the shield fully seated in it. The right side is fine, so I'm not sure what happened to cause this.
I sanded down the tab on the left front where the interference is, and eventually got it to seat acceptably. I then piled my wife and myself into the cockpit for a photo op. Milestone reached: AIRPLANE NOISES!
