Brief Description: Attached elevator fairings and sized HS fairing ti
After the permatex had cured on the reinforcement strips I attached both fairings to the elevators using CS4-4 blind rivets. Once they were installed I measured and marked the elevator tip fairings for initial cuts. I may have over cut the left tip but should be able to add back some material during the fiberglass build up. In order to get the shape correct to match the elevator fairing I used the styrofoam that is used to hold dried flower arrangements. Its very easy to work with and sand to match the shape. Once I had the shape right I cut a piece of 1/2" styrofoam to shape and used that to lay in the fiberglass cloth saturated with epoxy.
