Brief Description:  Flew the R/C cub with Colten, went to the range.

Tanner and Diane headed for her parents this Fathers Day morning. After Justine went to work, Colten and I headed to the rifle range to have some fun. We did some .22 plinking, shot the AK and my Glock. After the range we visited with Justine for a while at her work and then headed back to the high school to fly the Super Cub.

The conditions were perfect and we both had several flights before the bugs got the best of us. We didn't have any crashes today. I did manage to crash into a tree yesterday which would have been embarrassing to a normal person. We had been flying for quite a while giving the youth baseball tournament fans a show when I got too close to the trees and got it stuck.

We had to go home and get the telescoping handle for our pool vacuum and duct tape a ten foot length of emt conduit to the end of it. I poked the nose of the plane out of the tree and it came down without damage. My three kids and Tanners friend Luke were not impressed. The baseball fans weren't either I suppose, but we did make one more flight just to show them that we (I) weren't total failures.
