We made an abbreviated trip to Oshkosh this year and stayed overnight on Sunday and my friend Kurt's house in Fondulac. Sunday was a quiet day as Airventure doesn't officially open until Monday, but we did see a lot of cool stuff including the mass arrival of forty RV's in formation with a "4 0". My friend Bill from Kansas City was the lead for the "0" and we talked with him briefly after they landed. Several other guys from KC participated as well.
On Monday the RV-1 arrived and was handed over for display in the EAA Museum. It is the origianl design from Van and is the basis of his various models including my RV-7.
The boys and I got home Monday night and then headed to Colorado for vacation on Thursday.
