Brief Description: More pictures of the USS Midway
The first picture shows a big dork (according to Colten) next to the Midway. Enough said.
Image 2 is a shot of the Midway from the 38th floor of the Hyatt Hotel where I stayed. The hotel had a great view of San Diego Bay.
Image 3 is the USS Stennis which is an active duty carrier that came into port Sunday night and went out to sea on Tuesday. The string of hot dog looking things around it are actually steel tank barriers to protect the ship from terrorist attacks like was inflicted on the USS Cole several years ago. Coronado Naval Base can be seen in the background.
