Today I was only able to work for an hour, but made some visible progress. The first task was to lay out the position and drill the holes on the forward facing flange of the HS-405 ribs. The instructions and plans were pretty vague and I followed them as best as I could. I won't know if they are in the correct spot until a few more steps are completed.
The last few minutes I spent assembling all of the ribs to the front and rear spar to form the horizontal stabilizer skeleton. At last I have something that actually looks like it could be part of an airplane.....come on, use your imagination and humor me!
