Brief Description: cut out elevator skins and made first two bends
Cut out elevator skins, marked bend lines according to plans. Made up an improvised bending facility outof steel flat bar, steel tee-bar and clamps to table. Made a bit of a mistake here. Got so wrapped up in the difficulty of making the bends that I made bends # 1 and # 2 both 90 degrees each. A closer reading of the plans would have shown me that bend number 1 should have been more than 90 degrees so that the included angle would be about 80 degrees. And likewise bend number 2 should have been less than 90 degrees so that the included angle would be about 100 degrees. this did not become apparent until I started to make the third bend, described in the next log entry.
