I rivetted and bolted the pedal subassembly into the floor of the forward cockpit, added the return springs to be both slack in neutral position with rudder centered, and hooked the rudder cables to the pedals. before doing this, I made up a new set of the links that connect the aft end of the cables to the rudder horn. The originals were 2", but I realized that the most straightforward way to make any future adjustments to this system will be to change the length of these links, so I made up a set of 4" links to give myself room to adjust in either direction. This was a good day, lots of progress.
