Brief Description:  problems fitting leadindg edge

After drilling and clecoing the upper surface, I had problems getting the skin to land properly on the forward tips of the ribs. The problem was that the skin was not landing flush on the ribs in the area of the first rivet hole (closest to leading edge bend.) After struggling with it for awhile, I decided the problem was that my vacuum forming process had established the right radius of bend, but it had only set tha,t radius through a few degrees of bending, and I needed more bending to get the skin to land right. So I took the skin off, and re-did the vacuum forming, this time without the long perforated PVC pipe. This had two effects....the desired effect of setting the bend through a larger number of degrees of ratation, but also the undesired effecto of possibly reducing the radius a bit. The skin now lands a bit better on the ribs, but the profile of the leading edge bend is a little sharper than I wanted. I did finally get the bottom surface drilled to the ribs and clecoed in place, with the 3/32 nd clecoes.
