'Just some small Alterations'

Todays alterations where minor, I managed to get the drill finally to drill a straight hole through a 8.8 bolt, I cannot take any credit for this, It was actually my father that dropped by on his way through to another job, after I returned from a job that morning that came up with the idea, something pretty simple actually, and as normal, escaped me.

Two nuts on the bolt in question, one hard up against the shanked end, and the other at the end that you wish to drill. Put it in a vice, now, when you do that you will end up with a ridge on one side and the other pointing up, flatten out the ridge with the power file, mark the middle, and then drill. Presto, one straight hole!

After that was over and done with, sadly not a lot was accomplished, work and family kept me away, but we managed to get out to the tank builders premises and drop in and see Greg as well on the way back through. The 90 degree bend that was going to be shooting out a window has been changed to a section now that is pushing it backwards, its long, so some trimming will be needed, but I think it will work just fine, the next couple are going to be made with the filler pointing backwards like Scotts, but such is life!

More work tomorrow, if the phone doesn't ring!
