What a day!

It all came together this morning, following some advice from Scott, I removed all the bolts from all the supporting structures that I could, and loosened everything else, and it all just slipped together, some final bends and tweaking, and we had an engine mount in place. Nothing base been tightened down yet, but with even a minimal amount of tightening on the nuts on the engine mount, the distances between the insides of the two engine mount plates, is down to 177mm, so well within the requirements that have been set out in the build manual, I was starting to get worried about that but it all came good.

We used the rope trick to pull down the engine mount so we could get the lower attachments into place, and then checked the upper mounts and got them into place as well, everything was going great. Sadly the bolts that I purchased during the week from Bunnings where full thread and we needed shanked bolts, sadly I didn't get them, so we had to take off and get them from the local Bolt Store, on the way out we dropped into Queensland Diesel Spares at Capalaba, they have everything that I need to do work on the fiddly things that are going to be coming up, all the brass fittings and associated parts all in one place, plus a lot of other things like 90 degree bends for radiator lines and assorted odds and ends, and the great thing is that they are open until 12pm on Saturdays, so people like myself that work from very early to very late during the week, and just don't get a chance to drop into places like this, unless driving past the front door, can at least not right off the entire weekend because they will be available!
