Happy with the first order of parts that I asked for, I looked even further and with the advice from other builders looked further into getting some more parts from AS&S. Again the service was great and the web site in conjunction with the paper manual I ordered, makes it really quite easy to get your hands on exactly what your after!
After spending about 50 hours flying the CTSW from the GoFly Training Facility at YCAB, I grew to love it space and ease of flight, its a greatly behaved aircraft that lends itself to training (as it is used for training elsewhere in the world) and has a great range, adjustable propellor and lots of room and great carrying capacity. My wife and I took it for a flight from YCAB to Yeppoon in April this year (2012) and found it to be great, due to the weight we had to keep the fuel load light, but stopping at Bundaberg on the way to and from, we managed to get there without any real problems and in 2:30 back, and 3:00 up. On the longer flights, even though there is plenty of room, I found the angle of the seat and just sitting for several hours at a time well, painful, The new CTSW has a lumbar support pillow that is built into the seat, so that is going into the nynja, some foam on the seats, and this is going to be velcro'd into the seat support and ready for use when its up in the air. While on the site I was thinking about the trips thatI plan to take with the new aircraft when built, and thought that it would be a good idea to get a proper tie down kit, I've been away a couple of times now, and even though the aircraft are never my own, I would feel bad if they where damaged or destroyed because the tie downs that they supply with the aircraft, in my view, are a little wanting. So I got the Claw, Good Price, just going to pull out the useless little hammer and put in something more useful, so when I go away, I've got something to tie my pride and joy down with!
