Brief Description:  Installed Orifice in Oil Pressure Line to Sending

Kavlico and Dynon recommend that the oil pressure sending unit not be mounted directly to the engine. Dynon Installation Manual says to use Adel clamps to mount the transducer to a location that will reduce vibration from the engine. In order to do that you have to run an oil line from engine to transducer which I did. To avoid rapid loss of oil in case oil line breaks, I fabricated and installed an orifice in the aluminum line. The orifice cannot get back to the engine through the elbow. Prior to final connection of line to transducer, I cranked the engine over until oil got to end of line. Connected the line and then watched oil pressure change on Dynon screen as I cranked engine again and had 45 psi indicated.i
