Brief Description: Underfloor wiring and ventilation
Adjusted the lengths of the wires in the wire bundle from the LH side to the RH side under floor to increase the bend radius of the harness bundle.
Scuffed, cleaned and painted the bracket and spacer for the AP roll servo CPC connector and riveted it to the underfloor RH fuselage side Bolted the CPC connector in place.
Laid out the holes to rivet the flanged duct for the rear seat vent hose to the RH fuselage side. The plans show the 2" hose passing through the pre-cut hole in the fuselage side, but I was concerned that the hose might abrade on the edge of the hole and that the space between the hose and the opening would allow airflow into the underfloor area. As an improvement, I purchased a flanged duct from Van's Aircraft that could be riveted in place at the hose hole location. The duct has a 2" tube that the hose from the RH wing can be clamped to. Another hose will be clamped to the tube on the inside and routed to the rear vent. I also made a .35" shim to fit under the flange so the flange would lay flush on the top angle. Once the holes were drilled and deburred I applied clear silicone sealant to the flange and riveted it and the shim in place.
