After finding the battery dead the day after doing some avionics work I decided to make a lock assembly to install on top of the alt, batt, mag and starter enable switches which I'll install before leaving the airplane. That way I'll know the important switches are off. It'll also add some protection against theft.
It's just a 6 inch long 5/16 inch bolt with a hole drilled in it for a small padlock
