Continue work on the turtle deck skin. Installed 1/8" shimes on the front of the top stinger attach brackets to move the formers forward. This appears to work well and the former flanges now line up well with the skin punched holes. I also added a 1/8" shim to the end of the top stinger between it and the rear bulkhead. The bulkhead flanges now line up pretty good with the skin holes. I will probably re-mount the HS and VS before drilling the skin to the rear bulkhead to make sure everything fits well.
Not sure why the turtle deck skin, formers and top stringer did not fit properly and required shims. I cannot see anything I could have done to create the problem, just have to assume the kit fitment needs to be improved in this area.
