Re: Skin preparation....removing the blue plastic from the edges and rivet area was easy....using Van's suggestion to "score" the plastic with a hot soldering iron. As he said, be sure your tip is rounded so you don't scratch the skin. Don't do like I did and score and remove strips of blue plastic from the inside of the skins...just to realize you needed to remove the entire plastic from the inside. Its not needed for scratch prevention on the inside...unless you really go out of your way to scratch it.
Ok, if we keep score that will be "Felt Like an IDIOT#1" for spending so much time removing stips of blue on the inside rather than just ripping it all out quickly.
