Today I assembled the Stabilizer Tube Assembly to my Keel. I had to drill a hole into the bottom of my keel for the retention ring screw (a little manufacturing work for me!) A few minutes with a 90 angle, a punch and a drill press took care of that!
Then it was a semi-simple matter to insert the sleeves that the tube slipped through, holding the ring with some mechanical fingers. Then simply position so the angle is up, and an equal amount of tubing is on either side.
After this, the next step on this part will be preparing for the tail wheel assembly!
