Brief Description: Finish fuel flow testing, some misc details.
I finished testing the fuel flows today. All attitudes are testing out very consistently at 24 GPH +/- .5 GPH. I also looked at the fuel sender. I found that it was connected to the EMS module correctly, but it was not grounded. I ran a ground wire and it seems to be varying voltage appropriately with fuel level changes now. I replaced the starter switch with a guarder toggle switch. The switch is spring loaded to the off position to avoid it getting stuck in the on position. I turned my attention to the canopy lock. It was very straight forward to fabricate from 1/8 x 1” aluminum. I riveted the pieces together with c/s solid rivets and painted it with red plastic dip paint. I also painted the combo lock with the plastic dip. I am hoping this adds a layer of protection to prevent scratching the finish. I finished the control stick boots and installed them. I opened the stitching up and sewed in zippers to allow them to slip over the larger stick grips and zip shut.
