Since the Sonex I flew before had three flap positions I decided I wanted mine to have the same. I like the way the airplane lands with 20 degrees of flaps versus the large drag effect with 30 degrees. I found that it was rather easy to cut and shape the intermediate flap position. I also took the time to sand and smooth the existing notched. I also ran the wire I omitted to the pitot heat sensor. I connected it to the Dynon EMS general input #4 (purple/blue) and configured it in the settings. It will indicate if the pitot heat is off, on, or has failed. I finished tidying up some wiring and putting in grommet edging where needed. I then installed the seat pads with Velcro and fit the Pitot side panel. I made some brackets from sheet metal and angle to hold the side panels. The brackets will have nut plates to attach to the panels.
