Brief Description:  Finishing up interior

I finished installing the interior. I ended up removing the passenger vent. I am planning on running both vents under the panel to maximize on knee room. The side panels are fitted with tabs and nut plates to hold them in. I also installed some grommet snaps to hold the back pad of the seat and used Velcro between the snaps. I took the control stick boots home and later finished sewing zippers on to allow them to go off and on easier. I also mounted the fire extinguisher on the floor attached to the stiffener.
I spent quite a bit of time on the phone with Dynon trying to figure out the interface between the 429 and the Garmin 155XL. After talking through some points the Dynon rep helped me realize there is no input to the GPS from the Dynon system. Then I realized the Garmin’s 429 setting was set to receive data as well as transmit. As soon as I turned this off it came to life. Everything is functioning normal now. What a relief.
I finished labeling everything on the panel and the canopy warnings. I also attached the canopy pin with a safety cable to the handle. I painted the airspeed markings on the backup airspeed indicator. Looks like the panel and interior is pretty much wrapped up now. I do want to change the starter button. I realized that if I get in or out with the master on my knee bumps the starter. I am going to find a guarded switch to prevent this safety hazard.
