We made a silly error here. We had stored the bottom lower skin in an overhead storage shelf and forgot to dry fit it along with the flap hinge. Consequently, we actually rieveted the forward hinge section to the flap brace WITHOUT the bottom skin in place.(see image #1) I discovered the error the next day, and Harland was already in the shop drilling out all 48 + rivets. The saving grace in this and some minor errors is that we are only building one wing at a time. Lots of first time errors or miscalculations can be avoided or methods improved on the next wing. The corrected installation is in image #2. Thank God for match hole drilling from Van's! All the holes lined up, even with redrilling and re-riveting.
