Brief Description:  Induction system, cowling

I continued work on the air induction. The transit to backing plate junction was saned smooth. Then the filter houseing was drilled to the backing plate. Platenuts were drilled to the backing plate, rivet holes countersunk and platenuts riveted. Assured that the alternate air door was still operating properly it was riveted to the backing plate. Gasket material was used to improve the seal between the alternate ir door opening and the door.

The airframe was taken off stands and lowered to the tailwheel in preparation for rivieting the forward top skin. Cardboard was fitted inside the cabing to make bucking bar duties a bit less uncomfortable.

Cowl attach hinges were scuffed with sandpaper and the cowls were scuffed along the hinge lines. Hinges were attached to the colws with Por-Seal and clecos.Firewall penetrations were sealed with Pro-Seal.
