I was bale to set the rivets at the rear of the forward top skin where it attaches to the main longeron and at the main bulkhead. The conduit tube I used to run the heaset/mic wires through prvented getting a bucking bar into position. My solution was to carefully cut the conduit without damaging the wires and I was then able to slide the conduit out of the way and set the rivets. Once done the conduit pieces were slid back to their original position.
Some additional fitting of the top cowl was done using the sanding block and once it frit properly the colw and attach hinges were drilled. Cowls were then removed from the fuselage and hinges removed from the cowls. All hinges were deburred.
The new transit plate for the air induction system from James Aircraft arrived and I used the sanding block to fit it to the backing plate. The opening hole was then marked and cut using a flywheel cutter.
