I am very close to being ready to rivet the foreward top skin so I decided to do a trial fitting today. The skin was clecoed to the fuselage much more easily than I remember when I did the match drilling. The shims and hinges were deburred and countersunk and these were clecoed to the foreward skin/firewall. All looks to be in order when it is time to rivet. I did have to remove the Christen oil system "Tee" to have adequate access. I will leave this off until riveting is complete.
The engine flywheel was mounted and the prop spacer bolted on and torqued. Unfortunately, I failed to apply Loctite to the bolts so I will need to remove each, apply the Loctite and then retorque. Alternator was tightened and safety wired.
